From the first day I arrived here I was overwelmed by the ocean and whenever I have time, before or after work, I am going for a walk on the beach.

At the beginning it was a huge challenge for me to walk on these rocky surface…the fact is that most of the beaches near the place we live and in general, in Madeira are rocky… There are only few natural sandy beaches.

One of my favourite and the most beautiful place I have seen here, is in Seixal. Black volcanic sand and blue ocean surrounded by green mountains, it is the landscape I immediately fell in love.

Also, thanks to the concrete pier, there are no large waves there, and swimming is safe.
