Polish dumplings

Each month volunteers from Teatro Metaphora have an opportunity to make some wokshops. The subject depends on our creativity, previous experience and skills that we have.51401434_391557148286159_7832967075894132736_n

Last Wednesday we were asked to prepare some culinary workshop.
and alomost immediately we have decided to make traditional Polish dish which is called – Pierogi Ruskie (In its shape Pierogi Ruskie are similar to Italian ravioli just the filling is made out of potatos, onions, and farmer cheese).

For these, who want to try to make Polish dumplings, here you can find a recipe:)

Ingredients for the dough:
4 ½ cup of wheat flour
2 ¼ cups of hot water
3 tablespoons of oil
a good pinch of salt
(we chose vegan version, but if you want you can add also an egg).

Filling

1 fried onion
500 g of greasy or semi-fatty cheese
500 g potatoes
2 teaspoons of salt (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon ground herb or black pepper

Also, watch the movie to see how Polish chef does it!
